Statoil teams with Chevron in Arctic

Norwegian energy group Statoil has agreed to cooperate with U.S. major Chevron in exploring the Barents Sea, and the two jointly sought new areas in Norway’s 19th licensing round, Statoil said on Friday.

The deal would strengthen the two companies’ drive to participate in developing oil and gas resources in the Arctic, Statoil said.
