In a remarkable exchange at a town hall meeting in Iowa Wednesday, Hillary Clinton claimed that she is unaware of ever having received money from the fossil fuels industry.
Clinton made the statement with full knowledge that all of the lobbyists who work for her now once worked for oil and gas companies, and that her Foundation has recived untold millions from the industry.
A man in the audience asked Hillary if she would follow the lead of rivals Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley in signing a pledge to not accept money from the fossil fuel industry.
Clinton replied that she did not think that she had ever accepted money from the oil and gas industries.
“Well, I don’t know that I ever have. I am not exactly one of their favorites,” Clinton said.
“You have.” the man bluntly told her.
“Have I? Well, I will check on that.” she responded before going into a diatribe about being “committed to moving away from fossil fuels toward clean renewable energy,” and being against oil drilling off the coast and in the Arctic.
“Everyone knows where I stand,” Clinton said, adding “I go all over this country bragging about Iowa. Why? Because you are getting a third of your electricity from renewables, primarily wind.”
The reality, however, is that Hillary Clinton’s biggest campaign bundlers are fossil fuel lobbyists.
“Nearly all of the lobbyists bundling contributions for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign have at one time or another worked for the fossil fuel industry.” the Huffington Post reported earlier this year, identifying almost 40 individuals who have bundled thousands of dollars from oil and gas companies, such as Chevron and ExxonMobil, for Clinton.
In addition, the Clinton Foundation routinely accepts millions of dollars from the oil and gas industry, with donations coming directly from ExxonMobil and prominent oil-producing states in the Middle East.
It is abundantly clear from this latest excahnge that Hillary Clinton is once again knowingly lying through her teeth to her own supporters on her campaign stops, and that her professed policies are nothing more than empty rhetoric.

Hillary vs. Trump, that reminds me of a movie. Alien vs Predator.

Speeder, Putin showed interest in Trump. Trump admires Putin’s leadership skills. Maybe we need to revaluate Trumps credentials. We know Putin doesn’t like The Hillary. When Putin speaks people should listen.

Folks,
Hillary vs any Republican is a terryifying concept. Wall Street and big oil love her. She will maintain their Oligarchy and start a nice profitable war for them

I might have to cut Hillary some slack here: my memory is slipping more every day. And she has so much to remember when it comes to her fossil fuel contributors. Here’s just a partial list:
“Hillary Clinton is getting a lot of money from fossil fuel executives and lobbyists acting as bundlers (fundraisers who collect donations) who represent fossil fuel companies. (She also has lobbyist bundlers who represent other environmentally challenged corporations like Monsanto.)
Here’s just a partial list of the fossil fuel–friendly bundlers who raised money for Clinton from April through June:
•ExxonMobil executive Theresa Mary Fariello. ExxonMobil is the world’s largest oil and gas company, and it has a particularly ugly history of funding climate change denial. It is also eager to exploit oil reserves in delicate regions such as the Arctic, despite its responsibility for the most devastating Arctic oil spill in history.
•Brian Wolff, executive vice president at the Edison Electric Institute, a utility company trade association. EEI opposes and lobbies against the EPA’s Clean Power Plan to limit CO2 emissions.
•Heather Podesta and Tony Podesta. The power ex-couple are big-shot Democratic lobbyists. Tony’s brother John is Clinton’s campaign chair and former White House chief of staff to Bill Clinton. Even though John Podesta is considered a climate hawk, Tony and his ex-wife Heather represent fossil fuel companies. Heather’s recent past clients include Marathon Oil and Bill Koch’s Oxbow Carbon, a coal giant, and from 2004 to 2006 she lobbied for Koch Industries. Tony lobbied for BP in the wake of its disastrous Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion, and through last year he represented Golden Pass, a company co-owned by ExxonMobil and Qatar Petroleum that wants to export liquefied natural gas. You might call the Podestas the very embodiment of the Obama/Clinton “all of the above” energy policy.
•Scott Parven and Brian Pomper, lobbyists for Chevron. Their work includes opposing the Clean Power Plan controls and protecting the tax breaks for oil companies.
•One of Hillary’s top fundraisers, Gordon Giffin, is a former lobbyist for TransCanada, the company pushing to build the Keystone XL pipeline. Yes: Hillary received donations from TransCanada at the same time they were trying to get their border crossing permit from the gov’t

Hotflash promotes unicorns. So nice to know. (Does she use Polident to keep her false teeth in place?) I guess it will be only after she gets elected when she discovers that the Saudis have been contributing to her warchest. And all those pro-ethanol Iowans listening to her in that church will “understand” that she just couldn’t remember everything. Yes, it will be such a refreshing thing to have a working girl in the Oval Office.

We already had one president with Alzheimers, Reagan. We don’t need one with hot flashes as an extra. But TPTB would love her. Already well indoctrinated, greedy and pliable.

Their is no politician who is not tainted. It is the nature of politics in this day and age.

“Their is no politician who is not tainted.”
Hmmm onlooker, I would have to disagree with you. Plenty of good people get into politics, but it mostly all boils down to support. In this day and age it is money that matters, not principles.

GregT, so true. I read that the current Prez race in the Us will cost between 5 and 10 billion dollars by the time everyone is bought and paid for. I would say that, in that area, the US is definitely Number One. LMAO

Totally agree Ma. What I find really sad? The rest of the world is stupidly following in the footsteps of the Empire. Even sadder? The idiots that continue to wave their flags.

The problem is good intentioned politicians quickly find out that if you do not play ball with their pay masters and their parties they will quickly be forsaken and then good luck with their political career. Oh and being framed and negatively depicted is also an occupational hazard.

Either that onlooker, or they just die prematurely.

Die prematurely in suspicious circumstances.

Hillary, like everyone else, is lying to be president.
It is the Pointius Pilate thingy (The Elections of Pontius Pilots).

“I’m Mad As Hell…”
“Here’s CBS chief executive Les Moonves at an investor presentation last week, cheering on Trump and the other Republican candidates: “The more they spend, the better it is for us… Go Donald! Keep getting out there. And you know, this is fun, watching this, let them spend money on us… We’re looking forward to a very exciting political year in ’16.”
Fun? Exciting? Only if you enjoy getting rich, as Moonves apparently does, while watching the country go collectively bonkers.
This is the same Les Moonves who declared during the 2012 campaign,
“Super PACs may be bad for America, but they’re very good for CBS.”
And earlier this year, on an investors call, he said, “Looking ahead, the 2016 presidential election is right around the corner and, thank God, the rancor has already begun.”
“Essentially, TV news producers are wondering:
“How do we keep getting the great ratings without helping elect the Fourth Reich?”
