Lucky I was working while I listened, otherwise it would have wasted 70 minutes of my life. I think Orlov is pissed that the USA hasn’t collapsed yet.

It’s the trend I predicted many years ago, the collapse pastime is looking for goats to scape………
The blame game is going to make things much uglier than it really needs to be.

  2. Rodster on Mon, 12th Jan 2015 9:42 am

“I think Orlov is pissed that the USA hasn’t collapsed yet.”

I can’t say if he’s pissed more like WTF and why hasn’t it collapsed yet?

My thinking along along is that the US won’t collapse by itself but it will be a global collapse. We are too globalized, too interconnected and the system too complex for just the US to collapse by itself. It will all go down collectively whenever that day arrives.

  3. Davy on Mon, 12th Jan 2015 9:50 am

Exactly Rodster, I know Orlov know this the guy is smart. This is why his message is part of an agenda of demonstration of the US in my eyes. It is ashame because the guy has allot of good collapse information to share that is soiled by propaganda.

  4. Rodster on Mon, 12th Jan 2015 10:52 am

I can’t say if it’s propaganda on Orlov’s part. I get the sense that he truly wants change and the US is standing in the way of that change.

Unfortunately for Orlov, whatever change does come by way of collapse will disappoint the masses because it will be more of the same. It will be the same bad movie just with different actors, that’s all.

We are tied to the hip by fractional reserve banking and infinite growth, EVERYTHING. There is no way out unless the collapse changes how money works. And for the fact that the East has gone in bed with the Western financial system says a lot. In fact China got to where it’s at today by becoming worse than the US.

And now that world govt’s potentially have 7.2B + population to deal with when things collapse, they are continuously kicking the can down the road.

Because when it’s all over say bye bye to the industrial revolution.

Someone should ask the millions of people who now live in their cars, under the overpass or in the ubiquitous “tent cities” if they think America has collapsed yet. What about adults living back with the folks because they can’t find a job or at least one that pays enough to get their own place again? What is the official definition of collapse? Grid down? No more JIT delivery to stores? You lose your job? POTUS announces it? No more liquid fuels? Oprah dies and thus Hopium dies too? I alway thought collapse was a process; one that has been underway for some time. New people fall off the Seneca cliff everyday while the rest of us avert our eyes.

Orlov is only a messenger. He is telling it as he sees it. I do not believe for one second that he is promoting an agenda, or spreading propaganda. I have read all of his books, and subscribe to most of his points of view. The only people that I have heard put Orlov down, are the very people that have a vested interest in him being wrong. Sadly, he isn’t.

  7. dave thompson on Mon, 12th Jan 2015 11:17 am

I listen to this show every week.

  8. Rodster on Mon, 12th Jan 2015 11:30 am

“Someone should ask the millions of people who now live in their cars, under the overpass or in the ubiquitous “tent cities” if they think America has collapsed yet.”

For them, yes they have witnessed collapse whether their fault or not. As long as the US can print money and buy the world’s trinkets then no it has not collapsed.

When the US collapses it will take everything with it. If little Greece exiting the EU can have major ramifications for the rest of the world by means of destabilization. Just imagine what it will be like when the US turns out the lights?

The world is too globalized, complex and interconnected for one piece to fail let alone a major piece and not have a similar cause and affect on the rest of the world.

    Think “Leonardo’s stick toy”.

  9. GregT on Mon, 12th Jan 2015 11:43 am

“As long as the US can print money and buy the world’s trinkets then no it has not collapsed.”

As long as people around the world continue to USE that printed money, the US dollar will not collapse. When the USD is no longer accepted as the world’s reserve currency, and the US can no longer export it’s inflation, the US is in for a world of hurt. This will no doubt have huge repercussions around the globe, but many countries are already positioning themselves for the fallout. Tough times are coming, but some countries are going to weather the storm better than others.

  10. Davy on Mon, 12th Jan 2015 12:02 pm

I disagree Greg. Orlov is unfair, unbalanced, and narrow minded in his US collapse criticism in that he sees the US collapsing in a vacuum. He is not interested in covering the rest of the global situation in regards to a US collapse or general global collapse. IMA it may be somewhere else in the global world that collapse first that leads to a US collapse. This very easily could be China, Russia, or Europe with all three being basket cases. Anyone that points fingers solely at the US and not acknowledging this fact is short sighted or has an agenda. He is a US phobic propagandist in my eyes. I know we don’t see eye to eye here.

I am fine with his US collapse details as talking points along with other regions and the global system. I have his book in my library. I only put books of quality in my library. I don’t save every book I read. Orlov has excellent collapse points that should be extended to the global situation. Instead his focus is purposely US centric. I am not going to buy into his agenda of demonizing the US and glorifying his poster girls. He is doing his message a disservice. He could do and be so much more but chooses a narrow message to appeal to his US haters.

  11. Rodster on Mon, 12th Jan 2015 1:40 pm

“This very easily could be China, Russia, or Europe with all three being basket cases.”

    Ding..ding..ding we have a winner !

Yup, all three especially China is more vulnerable than the US. They have piled on more debt than the US by pumping in 5x the money into their financial system post 2008. They build ghost cities and factories just to keep their people from being idle. They are on course for a MASSIVE correction. They may be the world’s #1 economy from exports but the US is still the center of the universe as of now. If and when the US goes the way of the dodo bird still will the rest of the planet because we are all tied to the same economic, financial and banking systems.

At that point everyone on the planet will realize ALL the emperors have NO clothes.

  12. Apneaman on Mon, 12th Jan 2015 3:39 pm

    “whether their fault or not”
Sorry Rodster, but I do not think any of the tent dwellers were the architects of the last crash.

  13. Spec9 on Tue, 13th Jan 2015 4:44 am

Orlov is sooooh bitter that the USA did not collapse and that Russia is collapsing AGAIN. It is sad and he is now clinging to conspiracy theories.

  14. Davy on Tue, 13th Jan 2015 6:54 am

Spec I agree but with clarifications. If Russia collapses so will global BAU I can assure you. If any country should not collapses it is Russia with here resources and vast military capability. Anyone that flirts with those thoughts is ignorant of this reality and proposing something suicidal to man. This is why the current den-of-thieves in DC policies should be consider life threatening. If they were enlightened they would seek to negotiate and mitigate the coming collapses with Russia as a partner.

Russia has its own den-of-thieve in Moscow with Putin the head of a gangster state of oligarchs pillaging and looting a great country. One needs only to look at Russian capital flight to realize these gangster care little about the Russian people. One needs only look at how wealthy Putin is to understand he is a gangster at the highest level. I will acknowledge Putin as the premier statesman now globally but with the clarification. If Putin could be a world dictator he would be. I am not going to be fooled by his smooth talk and honesty with an agenda.

Yet, because of the strength and power of the US establishment we have to acknowledge they are the biggest threat to world peace at the moment. The US is dominated by warped and delusional political leaders engaged in a dangerous game of global hegemony that may lead to NUK war. With this said one can understand why Russia, China, and other states seek to distance themselves from US policy and why others seek to coat tail on it. The world is a f_ck-d up place that should be united in collapses mitigation and adjustment.

  15. Speculawyer on Tue, 13th Jan 2015 1:34 pm

I agree Davy. And I don’t think we are trying destroy Russia. As Kerry said, the sanctions can be lifted very quickly . . . but we can’t just accept them militarily meddling in their neighbors.

I think we can let Crimea slide . . . they used to own it and it is where there black sea fleet navy base is located. But the obvious direct military intervention in Ukraine? That’s just not acceptable.

And we have done very little to cause Russia’s problems. The sanctions are the least of their worries. What is really killing them is the crashing oil price . . . that’s just the market. Our oil drillers are hurt too. And their bad governance and corruption are their 2nd biggest problem. The sanctions would be a distant #3, IMHO.

Orlov is just losing it. His grand American collapse narrative is failing. And he seems to have a very strong nationalist/ethnic connection to his Russian homeland such that he’s embarrassed by their second fall. So’s he’s making all sorts of rationalizations and buying into conspiracy theories to treat his wounded ego.

I want the best for Russia. I look forward to the sanctions being lifted. But they can’t bully their European neighbors . . . even closely linked Ukraine. Russia needs to have a massive anti-corruption campaign. But that is just not going to happen with Putin in office. As you said, he’s the head of gangster state . . . he’s the head gangster and accepts tributes from lower gangsters . . . the oligarchs. And if an oligarch gets too uppity, they find themselves in jail on trumped up charges and their company becomes the property of the Russian state. That keeps the oligarchs in line.

  16. Davy on Tue, 13th Jan 2015 1:56 pm

Spec, this is a bad situation with both sides in the wrong. this is a very polarizing topic here on PO. I would rather approach it like an alcoholic in recovery would. Each side should turn away from resentment and ask themselves how have I contributed to this problem and how can I help fix it.

I say this because the very survival of our global BAU depends on it. I am trying to prepare for collapse. I am not ready for it. I hope and pray for three more years. I damn sure know much of the rest of the world is not ready.

  17. J-Gav on Tue, 13th Jan 2015 3:10 pm

Generally speaking, Orlov has some interesting things to say but I found this interview tedious.

  18. Apneaman on Tue, 13th Jan 2015 3:36 pm

I’m sure Orlov has great appeal to American haters and he may have even help create a few, but that does not prove he is wrong. I think he provides some good information, but as I have said before, he omits things. What source is 100% perfect? Orlov wears his heart on his sleeve and you can hear the angst in his voice when he talks Russia vs U.S. You don’t hear it when he is just talking about climate change or peak oil in general.

  19. GregT on Tue, 13th Jan 2015 7:19 pm

    Spec said:

“but we can’t just accept them militarily meddling in their neighbours.’

Have you ever heard of the Budapest memorandum Spec? Do you understand why it was put into affect and agreed upon by both Russia and the US?

Russia was not the instigator in Ukraine. If anything, the Russians stopped a bloodbath in Crimea, and have stood by their fellow ethic Russians in Eastern Ukraine, who’s
unelected government is killing them in an act of ethnic cleansing and genocide. Fascist, ultra right wing, neo-nazi militias are killing people in Eastern Ukraine, and have forced
over a million to flee to Russia. Our governments and our media are supporting this. Sorry Spec, but ‘we’ are on the wrong side of the conflict that ‘we’ created.

And what the fuck is this ‘we’ can let Crimea slide? It’s none of ‘our’ fucking business. Obvious ‘direct military intervention’? There has been no proof of this presented by the West.
Only a media frenzy of lies and propaganda, just like with flight MH-17. The only direct military intervention has been by the West Spec. Our governments are supporting fascism, in
order to line the pockets of ‘OUR’ oligarchs.

You are nothing more than a parrot Spec. You have not taken the time to search for the truth.

“Russia needs to have a massive anti-corruption campaign.”?

And the West doesn’t? What cave have YOU been living in Spec?

  20. Speculawyer on Tue, 13th Jan 2015 7:36 pm

Thanks for the paranoid conspiracy theory viewpoint.

  21. GregT on Tue, 13th Jan 2015 7:48 pm

I don’t believe things just because someone else tells me them Spec. I do my own research and due diligence. I am only concerned with the truth, and
what you wrote above is nothing more than a massive steaming pile of bullshit.

  22. GregT on Tue, 13th Jan 2015 7:55 pm

Also Spec, you have proven to me without a doubt that you are not interested in the truth. All of the information needed to come to a just conclusion is freely and readily available to anyone who wishes to pursue it. There are thousands of hours of video alone filmed before the US lead coup, during it, and after. I have done my due diligence, and I understand the reality of what has occurred in Ukraine, and why.

    You have not.

  23. Speculawyer on Tue, 13th Jan 2015 10:03 pm

Yeaaaaah maaan. The lame-steam media is run by the zionists and TPTB. Sheeple are being lied to.

    Go back to Infowars.

  24. GregT on Tue, 13th Jan 2015 10:21 pm

The main stream media is being run by the Druids, and the working class people.

The masses are being told the absolute undeniable truth.

No point in thinking for yourself Spec, let everyone else do your thinking for you.

It’s probably more comfortable that way.

Sorry for the interruption, now back to your regularly scheduled program………
