W. African ministers meet on rural energy policy

Energy ministers from the 15 members of the Economic Community of West Africa (ECOWAS) met on Friday in Ghana’s capital Accra to adopt a policy document for increasing access to energy services for rural populations in West Africa.

ECOWAS said in a statement in Abuja that the ministers also considered issues on the establishment of a West Africa Power Pool(WAPP) Organization.
