Iran Oil Minister: Tehran will soon make oil embargo ineffective
Iran’s Oil Minister says his office has drawn up plans to make newly tightened sanctions against the Islamic Republic ineffective.
Rostam Qasemi says his ministry is at the forefront of an economic battle with the West. His remarks carried by ministry website shana.ir on Saturday did not elaborate on the plans.
Qasemi’s comments come two weeks after an EU oil embargo went into effect against Iran for its refusal to halt its uranium enrichment program.
The West says the enrichment is aimed at developing weapons technology. Iran denies those allegations.
Iranian officials have earlier said they are organizing a consortium of private companies to bypass the embargo, without specifying exactly how this will work. Iran says it can always find buyers for oil.

I know this may not be a popular opinion, but I just don’t see this whole issue with Iran developing a nuclear weapon. I don’t understand how countries that have nuclear weapons themselves can look at another country and say, “[y]ou can’t have one.”
Please understand, I don’t want anyone to have a nuclear weapon. But I’m not too impressed with hypocrisy, and I think that’s what this is. Is it that we are good guys but they aren’t? Good guys? Have you heard of Guantanamo Bay?, water-boarding? Do good guys kill a million Iraqis for their own good?
Okay, so it’s not that we’re good guys, but those guys are crazy, and we’re not. Really? Do you realize that former president Nixon launched massive bombing raids on Cambodia, a peaceful country adjoining Viet Nam, for the strategic purpose of making the North Vietnamese think he was insane and would do almost anything? Yes, we’ve had our crazy moments, along with all the rest.
Okay, so we’re good guys, they’re bad guys and they’re crazy, so we can’t let them have nukes. They wouldn’t act responsibly, like we do, with so much power.

Israel has several hundred ‘illegal’ nukes. Nothing said. Bur then, the Jews run the Empire and get away with everything. Their leader, Nutenyahoo is crazy if anyone is.
But, it is NOT about nukes. It is NOT even about oil. It’s about Iran’s decision to do away with the Charmin dollar for trade. THAT is the reason for all of this Bullshit.
Why do I say that?
First to threaten to sell oil for other than dollars…Saddam,Iraq.
Second to make the same threat and try to set up a gold based trading system in Africa…Gaddafi,Libya.
Now, Iran is doing the same thing so they are the target. But then, there are at leat 6 other countries now making arrangements to trade in other currencies. Who? China, our banker(with nukes), Russia, our old enemy (with nukes), Japan, Brazil, several African countries, etc.
Why is that so important? Being the ONLY currency that is allowed to trade oil in is what keeps our Empire from collapsing. The minute we have to trade in currencies OTHER THAN dollars for oil or any other necessity, we are toast, kaput, bankrupt, end of American Dream, open to the 3rd world lifestyle.
