The government of Japan has failed to protect its people and is hiding the dangers of radiation from Fukushima. There are options for radio-protection that have not been disclosed.
When people cannot avoid radioactive contamination there are safe radioprotectants that can help prevent the damage.

The disaster at Fukishima is far from over. TEPCO is broke and is being taken over by the government. The tax payers will be paying for this disaster forever. Now we realize that the spent fuel rod pools are as dangerous as the reactors.
It is time to phase out nuclear energy around the world and move to safe, clean alternative energy.
Wind, solar, wave energy, geothermal and second generation biofuels made from algae, cellulose and waste are the future. The cost of wind and solar have dropped by 50% in the past few years while the cost of oil, coal and nuclear keep rising.
Nuclear energy is too costly and too dangerous.

The only way those forms of energy are the future is if the human population drops below 1 billion.
Anyone who has even a basic understanding of manufacturing and engineering knows alternative energy is a pipe dream and could not come even remotely close to replacing our current fossil fuel consumption.
But our current consumption is nothing. The global economy is built upon growth. Growth that will drive that consumption level way up IN THE FUTURE.

Who nuked Japan? USA. In World War 2, and last year too. Nuked ’em with our crappy substandard inefficient GE nuclear reactors.
‘Nuclear’ is a big topic, but the standard reactor filled with water and long thin fuel rods, is a joke. Only 1% of the energy in the rod is converted. The other 99% is still in the rod, but the fission byproducts poison it.
They call it a ‘spent’ fuel rod but even that terminology is a scam. It is not spent at all. Its just that the reactor design is so awful, that it cannot access 99% of the energy in the source fuel.
The reactors that actually work, are the ‘breeder’ designs, also ‘liquid fuel’, ‘molten salt’ etc. Thorium is the best possible fuel, and available in massive quantities all over the world, although needs some Uranium in the mix to kickstart it.
The reactor designs that actually work efficiently, would have to be developed over a period of time with further research. They are not pursued because the United States Congress has got the IQ of a garden snail. They always say simplisticaly ‘nuclear’ even though there are dozens or hundreds of different types of reactors, the best ones have never even been built.
Instead the greedy malicious destructive corporations build & ship worthless garbage such as the GE reactors which create 100 times the waste that they ought to, then melt down and nuke everybody.
Imagine a crew of 1000’s laboring for the next 50 years, just to pour cement all over everything and only consuming energy & resources, producing nothing. ‘nuclear power is cheap clean safe’ har har har har har.
