Nothing really new. Though I like Heinberg.

It seems to me nothing is really changing, despite what they say. And I don’t see anything happening in the US, and Asia, until it’s too late. I’m also not sure about Europe and elsewhere either.

The rich will keep on burning oil, until it’s all gone.

The only thing I see, that will benefit micro communities, is beyond organic small scale farming. Farms located near towns, that are gearing up for life after Peak Oil. They just might have a chance.

Nice video but policy makers are influenced by the financial influences of energy producers so nothing will change until it’s way too late…

If what they say is true, and I believe it is, why do we not see it on main stream news.
Its ok to keep talking about it on sites such as this or on youtube but this will not change the habits of the population. Not many poeple know anything about this and people will continue to burn oil(especialy Americans)business as usual.
But lets face it, with the Fukushima no4 reactor close to collapse, water shortages, fish depletion and a global financial crisis, people have enough to deal with.
I keep wondering which disaster will befall us first

Heinberg et al must start being careful now that the likes of Robert Zubrin –of Blue-Mars-tinted pupils– now labeling all proponents of reality-based economics as “Merchants of Despair”.

As entropy escalates (as physics state it must) Zubrin’s ideas will be taken up by the dimwitted masses (ie Tea Partiers and left-wing Panglossians like Krugman) and start viscerally blaming it all on people like Heinberg.

Good Video – more people need to see it.

Every country needs to develop a plan to balance population with resources, food, water, oil and jobs. The worlds ever growing population makes every problem harder to solve. Access to family planning needs to be available to all that want it. Peak oil, peak water, peak fish stocks, I see a trend here……..
