Jim Rogers: US Is Debasing Its Currency; Next 10 Years Dark Future

Global investor Jim Rogers expects serious economic catastrophe to befall the US and other western governments that debase their currency, and suffer from a serious ageing and diminution of their productive classes. Debt and demographic decline cast an ominous pall over the near to intermediate term future for these countries.

Rogers also expects widespread food shortages across the developed world, as the average age of farmers continues to increase. Although Rogers doesn’t mention it, the same shortage of skilled labour is beginning to occur in many other crucial sectors as well, as younger generations are shunted away from skilled labour and skilled technical categories, toward the higher education bubble and the looming catastrophe that it entails.

Jim Rogers is one of the few ‘investors’ (speculator is a more apt description) who understands that resource depletion is a reality:

I think Rogers is interesting to some extent but not an example. He is a liberal whose purpose in life is to follow the money.

Too many people and too few resources.
The worlds over population problem is the elephant in the room. Individuals, business and politicians all need to develop a plan to balance population, water, food, energy, resources and jobs.

I didn’t hear anything I didn’t already know, and he is correct. The Us is headed for a major collapse in the near future in many many areas. To deny that is to deny all the events happening around you.

If Jim Rogers thinks “Obama” is responsible for US debt, then he’s a Delusional NUT.

Mike, well, it his government that gave the nod to the outrageous bailouts, expensive health care programs and the continued support for the empire, so formally he is responsible.

Of course we could theorize about deep state zionist shadow governments operating in the background, but hey, it is sunday today and the wheather is nice. I think I am going to my favorite country club and have a beer, listen to the Mozart music in the background and enjoy the West as long as it lasts.
