Viable energy alternatives to coal will be the subject of a two-day forum drawing energy experts from across the state and nation to Flatwoods this week.
Among the presenters will be Canadian policy specialist James Small, of the Canadian Urban Institute think tank, who will discuss Ontario’s recent decision to shut down many of its coal-fired plants within four years and replace them with renewable and cleaner energy sources.
