Biodiesel project continues to gain ground

Iowa Renewable Energy has raised more than $2 million in preliminary development seed money from capital investors interested in IRE’s Washington biodiesel plant project.

IRE’s biodiesel proposal would build a $50 million, 30 million gallons-per-year biodiesel production facility in Washington and establish a foothold in the biodiesel market in southeast Iowa.
