California legislators return today from a monthlong recess to wrap up their 2005 session with four hectic weeks of lawmaking, facing issues that include gay marriage, solar energy and high school graduation exams.
SOLAR ENERGY — Schwarzenegger is backing a bill by Sen. Kevin Murray, D-Culver City, that attempts to create one million more solar-powered homes and businesses by offering subsidies to building owners. It’s awaiting a hearing by the Assembly Appropriations Committee.
