Brazil wants to attract independent and small oil and gas producers to its upcoming licensing round to lessen its reliance on offshore fields, National Petroleum Agency Director John Forman said Tuesday.
“We’d like to attract smaller-size companies,” Forman told a group of Houston oil executives at a meeting organized by the Brazil-Texas Chamber of Commerce. “Why is that? Because most of our oil production comes from the offshore.”
