Airline fuel levy to soar

Air travellers face another increase in the fuel levy imposed by airlines as global oil prices continue to rise.

As crude oil soared towards $US64 a barrel yesterday, Qantas confirmed it was considering a fifth fuel surcharge on travellers to cover the $600 million shortfall caused by rising fuel prices.
