The horseshoe mentioned above is a pretty delicate thing to manufacture assuming PO or some lovely banksters hit us hard and bomb us back to the stone age.
On the other hand there are quite a number of people not buying a large sack of rice to be “prepared”, but who are learning and practicing simple survival skills instead.
If i might include myself in this merry band, i would like to say that i won’t need a horse whatsoever, but if i had one, i could get quite some mileage out of it (excuse the pun) without having it stuffed with slippery metal shoes.
Mr. Schutt, i’d suggest you try to feed that horse and make it a friend instead of converting it into a industrial commodity able to walk on hard surfaces like concrete. Just because concrete won’t be anything but an annoyance in some time to come…
In other words, you’re missing fuel for your flamethrower to make a fire in your post PO world.
You know, that fire magic requiring two wooden sticks only still works fine.
