    We need to commit to alternative energy NOW.

    We need to ramp up the development of alternative energy at an ever accelerating pace. Each year the amount of energy generated by wind, solar, geothermal, and biofuels need to expand. With improving technology and ramping up of production the unit cost for alternatives will drop making them competitive and sustainable.

    Big progress is being made on the development of alternative fuels, especially biofuels. Unfortunately for our environment the conversion of coal into jet fuel is becoming common. The U.S. Military, understandably worried about jet fuel shortages, will be relying on coal to liquid fuel conversions in a big way in the near future.
