MCR & Kunstler seem to agree on weak fedgov, localization, secession, worry more about gangs & riots than martial law
Celente & AJones seem to lean more towards strong “big brother” fedgov, worry about NWO and/or world war.
Perhaps one of the most interesting points was the strong vs. weak federal government debate, which is emerging as more important than the inflation vs. deflation debate.
MCR main points:
– summer 2010 is the tipping point
– inflation vs. deflation not so important, he argues ultimate effect of collapse basically the same
– $100 oil this summer
– $2000 gold by end of year
– there will be violence & riots in the USA
– there will be die off
– Pac NW is best adjusted USA region to thrive post-collapse
– secession, either intentional or de-facto, is coming
– spirituality (whatever that means to each individual) is important aspect of maintaining life balance going forward
– MCR votes for fast crash in the fast/slow debate, asserts it has begun
– zero point energy, whether possible or not, is irrelevant since it would take decades to switch to
– gulf blowout in worst case could be an extinction event
– transition town efforts, while well intentioned, have flaws due to greenie cornucopia believers
– don’t waste time on those who refuse to hear the message

Remember when Hurricane Rita was supposed to collapse the US?
Just two weeks ago this stupid git was saying the oil spill would cause oil to rise over $100/barrel.
Ruppert is a disgrace to the peak oil movement. Why do you keep giving him attention?
