Britain’s Prime Minister Tony Blair left London for Saudi Arabia on Saturday where he will meet Crown Prince Abdullah and discuss a range of Middle East issues, his Downing Street office said.
The short trip is his first to Saudi Arabia since 2001.
“This is an important time for the Middle East, not just in terms of Iraq but also Israeli disengagement,” said Blair’s official spokesman. “That will be a big part of the agenda.
