I am sending this press advisory about an action in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday morning at 11:00am. The action will be held at the State Department, focusing on the issue of Tar Sands Oil, imported from Canada. This is a very important issue to both Canadians and Americans. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has the power to approve or deny permits for pipelines into the U.S. importing Tar Sands, the dirtiest oil in the world. We are asking Clinton to uphold the new administrations commitment to a clean energy future by preventing the import of Tar Sands. This is the launch of a new campaign focused on Clinton’s role in this process.
WHAT: Clean Energy Activists from Forest Ethics will make a Tar Sands Delivery to U.S. State Department, plus public display of Tar Sands in glass vials for the public to smell and discuss to bring attention to the State Departments role in importing Tar Sands – the World’s Dirtiest Oil into the U.S. from Canada.
