The giant Khurais oil and gas field in Saudi Arabia is on schedule to start production by the end of June, according to Amin H. Nasser, Saudi Aramco senior vice-president, exploration and production. The $10 billion project will come on earlier than expected as it was originally slated for completion by yearend.
Khurais is about 90 miles east of Riyadh. The field will produce 1.2 million b/d and is the largest increment delivered in the world, Nasser said.
