While individual mobility concepts for electric cars are emerging which involve car batteries used to store and, occasionally, resell its energy which altogether lead to incredibly complex networks and equally complex business models, an EU research project is trying to find ways to optimize the combustion process for hydrogen motors and, thus, bring this type of motors closer to mass production maturity. The most recent achievement of the H2BVPlus program is a hydrogen-driven motor that offers a fuel efficiency of 42 percent which is at the level of today’s best and most efficient turbo Diesel engines.
