SEOUL, May 29 (Yonhap) — Despite rising import prices, oil consumption in South Korea rose 6.1 percent in April from a year ago, a government report showed on Sunday.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, oil consumption in Asia’s third-largest economy amounted to 62.42 million barrels in April. The ministry attributed the jump mainly to a rise in consumption of gasoline, diesel and naphtha.
