Oil firms warned against using ‘under-recovery’ as reason for price hikes

The Department of Energy (DOE) on Wednesday cautioned the country’s oil companies to refrain from using “under-recovery” as reason for oil price increases.

“It’s not right for [oil companies] to declare an under-recovery,” said DOE Undersecretary Peter Abaya.
