China 2005 oil demand to rise 8.8 pct to 6.94 mln barrels/day – report

China’s oil demand will rise 8.8 pct this year to 6.94 mln barrels per day on strong economic growth and insufficient coal supply, the China Securities Journal reported, citing a research report by Lehman Brothers.
