Metro Encourages Riders To Dump Pump, Take Public Transportation

Metro is encouraging area residents to “Dump the Pump” and take public transportation on Thursday, but some wonder if Metro can handle the extra capacity.

The American Public Transportation Association is sponsoring the third annual National Dump the Pump Day, a day for people across the country to join together and ride public transportation to conserve gasoline, help reduce greenhouse gases and save money.
