Some delivery companies have increased their minimum orders because the cost of operating a delivery truck is also increasing. Diesel prices are high, insurance, even tires are all part of the expenses and then they must try and carve out a wage from the narrow operating margin.
But the increased minimum delivery also puts pressure on the low-income family because those on a limited budget can only finance a small amount of oil at a time.
