The Iraqi Ministry of Oil signed contracts with three international oil companies to conduct a study on drilling in the Suba-Luhais oil fields in southern Iraq, sources at the ministry said Sunday.
The sources did not disclose the cost and timetable of the project.
The sources whom preferred to remain anonymous, said the three companies are Vitol, Andarko Petroleum Corp. and Dome Oil of the United Arab Emirates.
