LONDON – Thousands of anti-war protesters gathered in cities around Europe on Saturday to mark the second anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq (news – web sites).
The protests were unlikely to match in size those held in February 2003, a month before the war started, when millions took to the streets around the world to urge President Bush (news – web sites) and his allies not to attack Iraq.
