Algeria and Libya have come out against Saudi Arabia’s proposal to increase oil supplies by 1.9% to 27.5 million barrels a day.
The two made their opposition clear ahead of the next meeting of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, to be held on Wednesday.
On Monday Saudi Arabia called for an immediate increase in oil supplies to cope with rising demand in 2005.
