Rioting could break out on Britain’s streets because of anger at the widening gap between rich and poor, it has been claimed. The warning comes as new figures show only a fraction of Britain’s super-rich are paying income tax.
Sir Ronald Cohen, himself one of the nation’s richest men, warned that violence could flare if the chasm between the haves and have-nots was not closed.
