Norway’s state oil company Statoil expects to drill its first exploration wells in Brazil in 2006 as it continues to invest to make the country an important part of its international portfolio, the company’s country manager Jorge Camargo told BNamericas.
“Statoil hopes to turn Brazil into one of its core regions because it has the conditions to produce 100,000 barrels of oil a day (b/d),” he said.
