China`s energy use worries many

China`s expanding economy and its rising energy use call into question not only the intensifying race for finite resources, but also the environmental pitfalls associated with such growth.

The findings come just as a high-level Chinese delegation ended two days of meetings in Washington on Wednesday on a host of issues, including trade and energy. Talks with U.S. officials yielded few results, but there was one breakthrough: the possibility of the export of U.S. clean-coal technology.
