IEA chief says oil prices are too high

Oil prices are currently too high and oil producing nations should increase output, the head of the International Energy Agency said on Monday.

Asked about the oil price’s rise on Monday to its highest levels so far this year, he told Reuters: “The current price is much too high and OPEC should raise production but consuming countries also have to cut consumption.”
