A regional approach to strategic oil reserves?

The Asia-Pacific region has emerged as a dominant hub of globalisation, driven by a high level of economic and industrial development. One predominant interest of the regional countries is to ensure an uninterrupted flow of energy to fuel their growing economies as well as unhindered access to sources of raw materials and markets for their products.

China, India, Japan, ASEAN and South Korea have based their economic and industrial expansion an on incessant consumption of energy.
