Oil Search warns on production

Oil output from Oil Search fell in the third quarter and the company has warned it will not meet its 2006 production forecasts.

Oil production for the third quarter was 2.35 million barrels (Mmboe) compared to 2.539 Mmboe in the second quarter. Oil Search (osh.ASX:Quote,News) attributed the production shortfall to cargo-loading issues in the Gulf of Papua which resulted in the deferral of 920,000 barrels.
