Marine Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Association Founded

The Marine Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Association (MHFCA) was officially registered in Germany on 17th August 2006 as a non-profit organization.

The third international intention of MHFCA is to identify important challenges caused by the changing environmental legislation and rising fuel prices. Defining barriers to the introduction of hydrogen as an energy carrier in the marine sector and identifying priority actions is the fourth intention. The fifth and final intention is to issue proposals to overcome barriers for the development of dedicated regulations, codes and standards for the use of hydrogen in marine applications.
