Saudi Aramco In Deals For Local Supply Of 260 Wellheads

(Zawya Dow Jones)–Saudi Arabian Oil Co., or Aramco, said it has signed three agreements for the local production and inventory management of wellhead equipment, providing a boost to domestic manufacturing.

The deal for about 260 wellheads was signed with global companies and their local partners, the company said in a statement on its Web site. The financial value of the orders wasn’t disclosed.

It said each of the five-year contracts requires the material to be manufactured and warehoused by the suppliers at new facilities within the kingdom and to use national labor and services.
