CAPE TOWN — Western Cape has been hit by its third energy crisis in a year — this time by shortages of liquid petroleum gas (LPG), says the Cape Town Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Colin Boyes, the chamber’s deputy director, says this is no small crisis, which has the potential to close down sections of the province’s industry and also affect the food and hospitality industries, which rely on gas for cooking.
