The MDI Air Car. Runs on compressed air. Costs less than a penny a mile. After twelve years of research and development, Guy Negre has developed an engine that could become one of the biggest technological advances of this century. Using bi-energy (compressed air + fuel) the CAT vehicles have increased their driving range to close to 745 miles(2000 kilometers) on a single fuelling. The MDI air car is described as the world’s cleanest car. MDI says they are very close to beginning production.
