Schlumberger – The first half of 2006 marked a 20-year high in U.S. drilling activity, the American Petroleum Institute said Wednesday.
Natural gas led the way despite low prices, with 14,784 natural gas wells completed. That’s an all-time record, said the API, an energy industry group based in Washington, D.C.
