Big oil companies, automobile behemoths and influential governments with hidden agendas for tanking the advent of electric cars, better listen up.
A Silicon Valley start-up in the US, called Tesla Motors Inc, has raised millions in financing from San Francisco bay area techno giants such as Google, eBay and PayPal to produce a prototype battery electric car that has the potential to blow away the gas-guzzling, eco-hostile competition.
And with constantly improving technologies battery life, recharge time and interim charge-hold are going to get better. Now only the market’s mindset has to be changed.
But that’s not going to happen till there are people who keep insisting that recharging is really just one step removed from fossil fuel consumption since the power for that is produced by consuming humungous amounts of carbon in the form of coal or natural gas.
However, there’s a way out.
