Austin an epicenter for biodiesel sales

It’s become the fastest growing alternative to fuel in the country, and Austin now has the biggest concentration of biodiesel retailers in the nation.

The National Biodiesel Board Friday also announced that Austin sells more biodiesel than any other city in the nation.

Texas is home to 12 biodiesel plants, capable of producing 96 million gallons a year.
