07/11 (LWN) Algeria, one of the world’s largest natural gas exporters and the 14th largest exporter of oil, recently found more condensed gas reserves and plans to continue increasing production of both oil and gas. It also may begin supplying natural gas to a large Indian power plant.
United Press International reported yesterday that the Algerian State gas/oil company Sonatrach discovered another reserve of condensed gas in the Barkin basin. The report indicated that it was the seventh discovery of this type made during 2006.
