Pakistan to develop renewables

ISLAMABAD: Shahid Naeem, chief executive officer of US-based Access Group International (AGI), has informed Omar Ayub, minister of state for finance, on Monday that the group is planning to invest $1.2 billion in Pakistan in the energy sector over the next five years.

In a meeting with the state minister, Mr Nadeem said that the group will develop a 100 MW wind farm extendable to 1000 MW in the Sindh province.
