Namibia: More Petrol Pain

Last month, the Ministry of Mines and Energy warned the public of impending fuel price hikes, saying since Namibia was not an oil producing country, it was “at the mercy” of oil producing countries, as it could have no influence whatsoever on fuel prices.

Namibians were warned to brace themselves for difficult times ahead as more increases are on the horizon.

This latest move is likely to see consumers suffering a double blow as public transport fares are also set to rise.
