State govts talk energy conservation

As India swelters under severe power crisis and demand-supply gap swells, state governments are talking about energy responsibility and conservation issues.

While residents in Delhi have been asked to limit their use of air conditioners, in Lucknow too people have been asked to pitch in for saving energy.

Other states are imposing weekly off days on the industry besides putting regulatory measures in place to that end.
