Central Africa oil production is expected to fall by 15 percent by 2009, said the Bank of Central African States (BEAC).
The six-nation Central African Economic and Monetary Community (Cemac) would see production drop from 59.3 million tonnes in 2006 to 50.6 million tonnes in 2009, according to the bank’s figures.
The bank said that the decline was predicted largely “in the absence of any new discoveries”.
