‘Flow of oil and money’

It seems that President Bush and the Republicans have finally decided to give lip service to the issue of gas prices. Not that anyone believes that they are actually concerned; it is just that their poll numbers have dropped so low that they’re worried about losing all the nice perks and free trips that come from controlling Washington.

All anyone should expect is a lot of talk and no action, since that’s all they ever do.

They’ll talk about price gouging and alternative fuel sources, but what will they do about the price at the pump next week? Nothing.

Doing something would cut into the money that their friends running the oil companies make. If the oil companies make less money, then they’ll have less to give to election campaigns. Can’t interrupt the flow of oil and money
