Big oil firms take softer tack with oil nations

Record prices and rampant consumption are forcing big oil firms to be less demanding when they do business in countries that sit on the world’s reserves.

Major oil companies are beginning to show a willingness to accommodate the demands of their hosts, state-owned national oil firms like Saudi Aramco and the National Iranian Oil Company.
