Biodiesel plant will help meet energy needs

The Midwest is going to become the new oil-rich Middle East if area entrepreneurs and investors get their way, retailers and business people were told by the featured business Thursday during the Keokuk Area Chamber of Commerce Recognition, Appreciation and Participation breakfast.

When Tri-City’s four-phase plan is complete, the company will be able to produce 35 million gallons of biodiesel per year with 65 employees and hopefully attract related businesses.
