Ethanol Industry Future in Doubt – Australia

The future expansion of the ethanol industry is under a cloud.

Chief executive of the Australian Biofuel Association, Bob Gordon, says it does not look like major oil companies Caltex, Shell and BP will meet their promise to increase the use of biofuels this year.

Mr Gordon says if the companies do not meet their targets, it will be hard to gain support for future projects.
